A choreographic ballet of hanging objects, tumbling with humour, and crashing down the unexplored corners of our sensations.
How can we make people see, feel, or seek time in its purest shape? How to catch time passing by, seize it in its very movement?
This is the challenge that circus artist Alexis Rouvre and his "circus of objects" have taken up.
Juggler of time, rather than gravity, inspired by the astrophysicist Carlo Rovelli: "Bodies move naturally where time passes more slowly".
Alchemist of the vanities, he composes from very simple objects - knit, chain, stone - a work of a dense poetry, opening on the reverse side of the instant, where nothing lasts but remains.
Founded in 2017 by circus artist Alexis Rouvre and visual artist/dancer Tiziano Lavoratornovi, Modo Grosso has quickly established itself as a company known for creating unique performances that deeply explore the symbolic relationship between objects, elements, and the moving body, as well as the space and the audience.
Alexis Rouvre graduated from ESAC in 2009. Trained in ball juggling and acrobatics, he has developed a personal exploration into rope manipulation.
